ABOUT

Steve Dietl’s first experience using a camera propelled him into a fifteen year long career working as an exhibiting photographer, printmaker, and painter. His exploration of documentary photography has allowed him to investigate various facets of popular culture, prompting an invitation to participate in the 2003 Venice Biennale. Dietl’s current resume includes operating nationally as a still photographer on feature films, and as an assignment photographer on projects throughout the United States.

Upon reading a script, Dietl makes a conscious effort to uncover the true artistic nature of each film, showcasing the writer’s and director’s intentions. Furthermore, his ability to work seamlessly with both seasoned and young professionals allows him valuable insights in promoting each film.

His mission and purpose is to shoot and deliver high quality digital production stills for the use of promotion, and any other publicity purposes deemed necessary by the client, while working in an almost invisible manner.
